Nice to be back, I still have the Kat, does not run, last start was 10 mos. ago, wont start at all now, battery has juice, the starter sounds like its slipping and or grinding... due to my lack of mechanical knowledge and badly failed attempts at resuscitating her, she is just there... leaking from a fork, from the engine, I think that I see gas and oil together... wtf! Anyway, old kat did good, she maxed out the odo at 99999 5 years after purchase and eventually made it to 155,000+ miles based on my trip calculations until she blew a fork as I was riding and top valve cover oil leak became severe.
I plan to keep her hoping that one day I could fix her, engine transplant most likely necessary.
Anyway, had a short stint with a 2002 Vulcan, not a cruiser type rider, didnt like the Vulcan much.
2006 ZX14 'til life matters necessitate it to sell it mid 2010.
Yesterday afternoon, after a 5'sh years caging, I could take it no more! Got me a brand new, still in the crate, had to wait several hours for them to put it together, 2015 Ninja 650. Just put 45 miles on it so far, gonna do a bunch more later today, I think that I'm gonna like this thing.
