  • Didn't like the color... so I repainted

I wasn't too crazy about the black/blue scheme that came on the bike, and there were chips and dings from the previous owner I wanted to fix anyway. I got some rattle-can paint, did a lot of wet-sanding, put on some clear and here you go:

    Went from this:

    to this:

I'm going to buy these graphics from alloutgraphics.com to put on also:

I'm still debating on whether to paint the tail and fender white as well. I also painted the mirrors a flat black. What do you think I should do?

That looks good! I like the kats in white. I would paint mine but i don't have the patience for all the sanding. Lol! That and the wife would lose patience as i have spent enough time learning this thing and working on it as it is.
Besides, im about to start all over when i pick up the r80 this week. Got to try and focus on one toy at a time... :/

I like it the way it is...Fender/tail = to much white? I guess there's only one way to find out. Nice job!

                anything is better than blue.

I like the white better than the blue and the tail looks kinda pasted on. The problem with going all white, though is that you'll look like you're riding a refrigerator. How about something like this:

It's a European-only stock paint job for the '89 1100 Kat but I think it looks pretty sharp.

I think you have just provided the best description of riding a stock Katana I've ever heard.

Might as well finish the job. White tail, white wheels with red rim tape, white hand grips, white and red riding gear.

Or...you could leave it as is, I guess. That's ok too.

                          Bahahaha!

I'm wrestling with color scheme ideas for my Gladius right now... It's tough to know how much is too much. I may play with it in Photoshop if I have time.
