  • Got a new bike!

Hey all, this is my first post on here and I wanted to share my new Katana I just got today.
She's quite beautiful, and so far I love everything about it. It's 2006, and only has 11,000 miles on it.
Got it for $3200, which was a decent price, considering how great of condition it was in.
Can't wait to rack up the miles. What do you guys think?
Sorry about the huge pictures :P

Thanks man! This bike is such a smooth riding bike. Super comfy as well. I'm planning on going on trips with my dad and brother (who both have harley's). I had an 87' Honda CBR before this, so this bike is very different for me, but I love it. I went for a night time cruise today, and I was very pleased. Any beginner tips on the 06' Kat?

Don't drop it. Don't wreck it. Look both ways before crossing. Never eat yellow snow. Trex frame sliders. Lose the OEM tires. Lose the warning stickers and always wash your hands after you go to the bathroom.

Nice ride, I remember when mine still had all the factory stickers on it!

Tips: Get a book called Sportbike Riding Techniques by Nick Ienatsch. Read it. Read it again. Go ride and enjoy it. Don't start modding the bike unless you have money to burn, because once you start, you won't stop...

Great looking bike you have there. Sounds like a great deal. Enjoy the rides mate.
Only one tip: Use your head whenever you ride.

I must be stupid, but what exactly are OEM tires? And where can I find those frame sliders? I was actually looking for some the other day but couldn't find anything. :/
