If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've high-sided!

How about for a pre 98? Can he make those? How much are they? What year Bandit 1200 shock would I need if I go that route? Thanks.

Nope, have to swap to a post shock knuckle, and then make spacers for the post dogbones. The pre dogbones are fat on one side, and bend a bit. I've got the 1200 on mine, and it's a bit tall. I haven't decided if I like it that high yet.

Quick point to note, on the Bandit 1200, if you have a pre 750, you'll have to notch the shock knuckle.

On the shock, an 01-04 (second Gen bandit 1200). Second gen may go higher than 2004, but I couldn't find any more info than 04

Do you have a pic of yours with the Bandit shock? I'd like to get an idea of how it will look.

It doesn't look much different, little higher in the rear. One thing is that it lists over a LOT further on the sidestand, and I have to use a plywood spacer that I made to use the rear stand. If I remember tonight, I'll try to get pics.

Here's a pic of my '96 600 with the Bandit 1200 shock. The tail doesn't look too much higher in the pic, probably because of the lean while it's on the side stand. I'm 5'9" with a 30" inseam and I my heels are just slightly off the ground.

I love the stickers! Mine is flat black too and I wanted to do the same thing but I wasn't sure it would turn out right so teddy hooked me up with some silver ones instead. Where did you get your black stickers? I might have to steal your look, lol. Sweet bike!

I can see by the angle of the swingarm it's higher. I'm 6'2" and about 235 lbs so the stock shock isn't cutting it for me. I'd like for the whole bike to be an inch or two taller. Nice pre by the way! Thanks.
