  • Speed Sensor Resistor Wattage?

I think my Speed Sensor went out. In the service manual it says to test it I need a 12v battery, a voltimeter, and a 12k Ohm resistor. However it does not say what wattage resistor I need. Anybody know?

    Thanks much.

very small. (even if you went directly between + and -, it would only burn 12mW or 0.012W)

Any through-hole resistor will be fine. (really, any 12k resistor PERIOD would be fine)

After shopping around it looks like they come in 1/8, 1/4, or 1/2 watt. So will any of them work?

          Thanks. You rock.

Also. Any idea where I can get a good deal on a replacement speed sensor for a 98 katana 600?
