  • 1/4 mile times!

I took my bike out the track with some guys last night, for some legal highspeed fun, and a great ride before and afterwards!

    1990 Suzuki Katana 600 with 103,700 km's, dyno'd at 69 hp (wheel)

    Run #1
    R/t .105
    60' 5.386
    330' 9.603
    1/8 13.046
    MPH 73.92
    1000' 15.905
    1/4 18.399
    MPH 86.93

    Run #2
    R/T .615
    60' 2.508
    330' 6.195
    1/8 9.184
    MPH 82.48
    1000' 11.784
    1/4 14.015
    MPH 99.44

Run#3 was much like #2, and only .1 second slower, but I lost the slip for specifics.

On Run #1, while my reaction was really good, my throttle response SUCKED and I stalled the bike. I was a bit better at Run #2 and #3, so... maybe I will return someday, but straight lines aren't really my thing.

Just thought I would post em up for interest's sake.

97 600 w/ 13,000 miles, My first time EVER at a track so I know I can improve that reaction time next time I go, and no matter what I do I have a little "lurch" when the clutch is coming out. Still wasn't to upset with the times though.

      Reaction - .3139
      60ft - 2.098
      330 ft - 5.4161
      1/8 ET - 8.1540
      1/8 mph - 89.09
      1/4 ET - 12.668
      1/4 mph - 105.88

It was a really good day for me:
          1/8 ET - 4.1540
          1/8 mph - 179.09
          1/4 ET - 6.334
          1/4 mph -201.44

On a 600 it was unbelievable...

And if you believe those stats I have a bridge to sell you all..

Just having some fun...never took mine out to get timed yet...
