    need to know if my 1990" wont start cause of spark cables< its been sittin for 6 yrs!!

    can any body tell me what is needed for tha engine to start!??!?!

    Air, fuel, spark and sufficient energy to get ti started. If any of those aren't right then it won't run or will but not well.

    I would suggest checking to make sure you have adequate battery amperage and fuel supply.

      there is a choke cable. after sitting for years the carbs need cleaning.

        Yes I would start with cleaning the carbs.

          +1 on the carbs. then look for vacuum leaks.

            +1 on cleaning the carbs... Go to the wiki and download Carbs 101 or 102.

            Plus an oil change, air filter, drain the the tank of any old fuel clean it out making sure there is no loose rust, that will clog clean carbs fast. Remove and disassemble the petcock removing any rust or varnish that has collected. Replace any cracked fuel and vacuum lines
            Get a new battery.

            Edit; Check the tires for cracking, 6 years is a long time, they will most likely need to be replaced. Make sure there is no rust on the brake rotors, make sure your braking systems are working properly. Lube the chain.
