My gf bought me a Go pro HD !

so I got a go pro hd camera from my gf.

I did my first vlog or whatever they call it. the sound sucks so its ****ing boring. any idea what to do to improve that ?

Get a cheap video editing software like Vegas from Sony, then you can lower the volume from camera audio a well as adding songs of your choice.

I was riding in the mountains yesterday and saw some patches of snow by the roadside.

Other then the audio, would you recommend one? I want to use one to help me improve my riding.

I need to use it more to recomend it. but if by talking louder I can get the audio ok then I would definately recomend it. I am a scubadiver also and this is supposed to be ok for under water too.

but I noticed right away that it takes some focus away from riding. so I dont know if this will help you ride better. Im not going to talk while riding in twisties. Ive got plenty of important stuff to use my braincapacity on.

yes that was strange to me too. especially when its in a airtite box. but somehow it does work . and ive seen other riders get the audio right with this camera without any special extras

The GoPro website states that you can remove the cover over the lens if you wish to increase the amount of audio it picks up, HOWEVER this will likely be quite a bit of wind noise.

It might be easier to record a voice track with a mic, or insert title cards during edit.

My brother has a go pro camera. I'll ask him what he did to eliminate more noise and increase sound quality.

Mammut, call me old and lame, but I really enjoyed the little tour of your hometown in Norway. I love video's like this and often wile away hours over on ADV soaking in this kind of stuff. Post some more , I'll watch em for sure.
I have no dought you'll solve the audio issue.
