pretty much any H4 light bucket i have tried has worked since they all seem to have that 3-way standard plug. i used a Honda 919/Hornet bucket on my friends Kat and didn't wire up anything new

if you wire two independent lights just wire another ground wire and utilize each of the two 'hot' wires on the 3-way harness, i forget what the colors are

Universal brackets like these can be found in almost any motorcycle shop:

These are GS brackets. They will look nice if you get the right fork size.

So you need to do some cross referanceing and find a GS model that has the same diameter forks as a Katana. The forks slide through the loops and you want the rubber bits to stay put too.

Once you have the mounting sorted the plug from your pre 98 Katana will plug right in.
        It should look like this:

so i had gotton the universal brackets from JC whitney... only to find out they don't fit on my forks

but my buddy bought some clamps off a guy from his board for his headlights and i think they should work for ours... i just gotta cut the curved part off of the jc whitney clamps and drill another mount hole so it's more secure...

to clarify what my last post was saying...

i'm going to cut the universal bracket where it starts to bend, then drill another hole near the bottom so i can use 2 of the hose clamps to hold it onto the forks...

i'll get pics when it's on the bike

i just this one ill let you know when it gets here how cheep it is

You exhibit an overexuberance in all respects that cannot be satisfied. Your attitude and ego are over the top, yet you actually have the skills to match. Its infuriating. People would hate you, but you're too damned nice. You always ride like its your last day to live, and leave bystanders vaguely aroused. Your bike is the Ducati 996. Sex on wheels.

I was curious if anyone has been able to get these to work on the 41mm Kat forks? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT
It says "Up to 38mm" but I'm almost postive I've seen these same brackets on Katana's before. The brackets on ebay that do claim to fit 41mm are significantly more expensive:
