  • Clutch slippage ? Got the solution.

    Hey everyone,

Just wanted to share my happyness with my new Barnett clutch.

I was so tired of the little clutch slips at high RPM(8-9k and more). I've already tried to replace my friction pads and springs(OEM) before even with washers on the springs and I still had this slippage problem. But I never tried to change my steel plates...

So I decided to buy a new complete clutch. I bought a Barnett clutch and I AM really satisfied with my new clutch. I feel more power it's like having a brand new bike. It grips so much that you have get used to take off with it.

    Cheers

It cost me 200$ CA taxes included but at some dealer, they sell it 300$ +tx(340$ CA).

It includes all that can be replaced in your clutch:

      - such as steel plates,
      - friction plates(ones I got are supposed to be made of Kevlar)
      - and the 4 springs( I don't know if they are Heavy Duty springs or if you have the choice between normal and HD for 98+)

BTW guys, does anyone knows if BARNETT only do one type of clutch for the 98+ katana?

Not really much stiffier than OEM springs.

BTW, does anyone could tell me why since I installed the clutch I have trouble putting my gears on neutral ?

          thanks
