I'm going to buy a set of Metzeler z6 tires for my 94 Katana 600. I know I need 120/70 ZR17 (front) and 150/70 ZR17 (rear), however, as I've been searching, I'm finding there are different variations on sites.
Metzeler fitment chart shows:
ROADTEC Z6 ROADTEC Z6 Front Rear120/70 ZR 17 M/C (58W) TL ROADTEC Z6 Front - 2.25 BAR
150/70 ZR 17 M/C (69W) TL ROADTEC Z6 - 2.5 BAR
Dennis Kirk has five different part numers for the front tire ranging in price from $102.59 - $168.99; all the same size. I don't get it. The woman on the phone wasn't that helpful; said they were different compounds. what one do I need? And, why do other sites only have one option in this size? What am I missing? I'm hoping I can get the one for $102, but don't want it if I need the one for $168.
Also, CyberPoet's site motorcycle anchor says M/E as opposed to M/C in the description:
FRONT TIRE: Metzeler ME Z6, 120/70 ZR17
($86 - $135, depend on source).
COST:
REAR TIRE: Metzeler ME Z6, 150/70 ZR17
($98 - $189, depend on source).
Is that simply an old description? I know it hasen't been updated in a while.
Please help me get the right tires.
