ok...i just got a breaker/rivet tool.and am going to do the chain myself.question is this.i'm replacing the stock chain which has almost 13000 miles on it.should i replace the rear sproket as well.and it's a 120 link chain.correct?

no, no no. It's not 120 links, no Katana is. You know it might help a tad if you say what year and cc bike you have. You ALWAYS ALWAYS do the chain and sprockets together, not just the rear, the front also.

You should replace the sprockets (both of them) with the chain to remove the risk of wearing something out prematurely.

But with a breaker tool, you can get a 120, just paying for links you wont use. Sprockets and chain together though
