  • Fork oil level?

I read somewhere that one could measure down the fork tube about 4 inchs and this would be the correct level, is this true? 95/600.

If this is the case, I would think it would be when the forks are fully extended?

    Thanks.

Specifically on your year I do not know, but yes there are products like Motion Pro's Fork Oil Level Gauge that will measure the oil from the top of the forks. It has a hollow slidding ruler that is adjustable to various depths and will suck out the excess oil.

No, not when fully extended. They need to be collapsed, the stanchion needs to be fully compressed, and the springs need to be out of the forks.
