  • 1 or 2 piece suit for big guy :)

So where can I find a 1 or 2 piece suit for a larger gentleman

    6' 260lbs, 42 waist.

I've seen a few suits but there usually over 500, I'd like to find one for 300-400 but may be able to go for 500 if its a nice suit.

I really want to get some track time

Um.... you might need to look into getting custom leathers made. I think my suit is the largest A* size they make and I've got a 38" waist.

There's a thread around here somewhere that cyber was talking about overalls... but those probably won't cut it for the track.

I hate to say it, but I think getting what you want for that budget might be tough. Less than $500 isn't a lot for even an off the rack leather suit, and for you size you'd likely need something custom to get a good fit.

Unfortunately for guys like us, most leathers are sized for little jockey like guys.

Best advice is to watch ebay and web forums for used gear. Also keep an eye out for stuff on closeout from places like Newenough.com. I know they've got some leather MotoGP jackets for cheap at the moment.

Hubby got the largest size available from Technics ... and he's 6'2" and 200 lbs.

when it comes to men's leather suit ... it's what steves said .... you have to have a small arse and no gut

Wonder if you could piece together some pants and a jacket from Joe Rocket? I know they do larger sizes.

For track use, you would want a 360 zip at the waist. Do the pieces support that?

I know Joe Rocket has some peices that are available as 360 zipper. My Blaster jacket has both zippers and the Blaster pants have both as well. They don't come as a set, gotta be each seperate

From what I've seen, a JR leather 2 piece would slightly bust the stated budget, but not terribly so. You're looking at $550-$600 shipped for a JR. It may be a good option, as they've got pants up to 42" waist and some HUGE jackets (up to 5X in some styles) available.

These might just do the trick. Might have to do some haggling to get in under that $500 mark though: http://www.joerocket.com/products/pr...roducts_id=548

Hmm that might be by best bet.

I wonder if I could get a suit for a taller guy and have it trimmed down.

the size 54 looks like it should fit but might be a little too long.

I can prolly go up to 600 or so just cant tell my wife
