do not and i mean do not. over rate your headlight bulbs. i got some really kewl blue headlight bulb a few years ago and man they were sweet looking and they worked great for 3 years. yes kids three years. until one day a few weeks ago , i noticed that i had no lights but when i flicked up to high beams they worked fine. so being a tightwad i just rode w/ the brights on all the time. until the other morning when i went out to warm up the bike before work and noticed i had no lights now. well, i guess i'll put some new bulbs in there. if only it were that easy. not only did the sockets melt but the wire got so hot that it melted the soldered joints in the switch and toasted the switch. needless to say i spent the better part of a perfect riding sunday rewiring most of the front end of my bike. but the kewl thing (if there is one) is that i got the parts at a NAPA store for like $4 as opposed to the $30 part from the stealer. i'll also take this opportunity to mention that sine installing them , my white guages work intermittantly but are now not working at all. anyone else in the original buy-in from KP have that same problem? or any one at all. i got the streetracer ones from back in the day when we had to write a petition to get them to make them for the KAT.

Live and learn, obviously there was way to much draw for your wires to handle. Those cool blue light actually light up the road alot less than your stock bulbs do.
