hi every 1 just found this site after mouths of seachin the web tryin to find web sites 4 this bike is as bad as tryin to find bits.
any way i am in the middle of fightin the bike as lovly as it is i just dont get along with plastic.
So has any 1 have any ideas on where i get bits 4 the bike etc:
    caliper
    usd
    swing arm
and dose any 1 have any idea what is possible
any feed back would be helpful

Well you know as well as I that anything is possible..
Do a search for swingarm and you'll find lots of
info on that. (I'm being nice as your into streetfighting!)

USD? Go with the GSXR, R1 is also possible.
A bit of searching will result in the years of GSXR
    fronts that slot right in.

Calipers? I'd stick with a full front end replacement.
Trees, forks, wheel and calipers. Nice and tidy!

    As for living without plastics.
Doing a search for "street fighter"
will bring up a few nice in progess rides here.
    This is mine:

mine wasn't crashed, but there were no fairings and it was suffering from years of neglect. Doing final tuning on it right now. The sky is the limit, and projects like these never seem to have an end. Figure out your desired end goal, and do one project at a time trying to get there.

Oh, and ebay is your friend for cheap parts.

figure out what you're looking for. Most of us scavenge parts from gsxr's, other katana's....

                Ebay.com

Most the parts are used and cheap. If you're looking for stock replacement parts ronayers.com is a great site too. microfiche is great for figuring out exactly what you need and getting the right parts.

Otherwise, do a web search for streetfighters and start researching figuring out exactly what you want to do.

what's wrong with the calipers? Do a brake fluid flush, and if you want better braking, get some SS lines. That should be plenty. If you want to get serious, get a complete gsxr front end (fork, calipers, rotors, wheels, triple trees).

I found after fitting a GSXR master cylinder and rebuilding the brakes they are fine.
                            However I have a pre 98 with 4 pistons.
(Dual opposed) Do the pre 98 calipers not fit to the
                            98+?

Anyway looking at your over all interest I still think that
the full GSXR front end swap is the best bet.
It upgrades the fron suspension and gets you 4 piston
calipers. Better quality ones than the stock GSXF 4 pots.
