Motorcycle consumer news has a '98 600 at 12.25 @ 108.4 mph in the 1/4. It also has 0-60 @ 4.12 and 0-100 at 10.81 top speed at 134 mph. I don't think many riders will ever be able to get these numbers.
CyberPoet isnt cold. Its just that nobody uses the search button before asking a question. 90 percent of everthing you ask can be seen with numerous replies if you just search. If you dont find an answer when you search then post up. For example this post with 33 replies. http://www.katriders.com/forums/view...t=quarter+mile.

wow if 90% of all the questions can be answered by the search why even have a forum? why not close the forum down and just leave it as a database to search?
im all for searching but come on, people are bound to re-ask questions over time. just cause theres a thread all about this topic from a year ago doesnt mean someone doenst have some new info to add. at the very least it might spark up something new to discuss.
trust me there will still be plenty of questions even if people search there will be more specific questions and so on. no one ever said "dont ask" just search before you ask. lol there will always be plenty to talk about in the forums
I had no intentions of being cold. I had just gotten done answering a bunch of his questions in the next thread over (covering chrome wheels, chrome mirrors, cowls, etc), and knew that I couldn't do justice to this question because of all the variables (gearing, mods, altitude, etc). So I tried to teach him something new by teaching him to search -- which would have brought up a lot of discussions on it and let him see what various changes affected various people's quarter mile time.
so there pretty slow top end? my vette ran 12.3 @ 119
but this feels faster 0 to 60
Bikes accelerate very quickly due to a very low power to weight ratio. However, their extremely poor aerodynamics limit their top speed. Your nice, sleek Corvette cuts through the wind like butter, which is why it can achieve a much greater top speed. BTW have you read about the '06 Z06's. 505hp 198mph top speed - insane.
"Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting," Holy sh*t!!! What a ride!!!"
