  • Dyno,and jet kit

I was thinking of taking my KN filter out and putting an Ivans jet kit in since everyone talks its the best. But I don't have access to a dyno to test and tune. With that being said I have a 05 kat with a d and slip on . Q: can I get this jet kit to work properly in my garage ,with out the use of a dyno? Thanks,Tyson

Yes, but mention specifically your set-up to Ivan at the time you order it -- he may change your jet sizing as a result.

So far I haven't found a bike that actually needed post-install tuning (although I've run several over dynometers after install) with his kit.

    Cheers,

One on each of the four carbs, thus all four.

Im going to get some good used carbs and install the kit in the differnt set , that way I can always go back to the stock carbs if I want. 2000 model carbs will work on my 05 ?

Ask dynojet -- it's their product

If you had gotten Ivan's product, you could talk to Ivan on the phone -- with dynojet, you'll probably be on hold for a while and then talk to someone at a computer who will look it up.

My guess: 118, small donut since you're not running a full aftermarket header, but hey, what do I know -- I don't run your set-up. Maybe searching KR will find someone else who does have your set-up...

                    Cheers,

                        Ivan's.

Hands down. Wish I had a 98+ so I could get one.

                          +1

I've run both the DynoJet and the Ivan's in the 98+ Kats (both sizes) and the Ivan's wins hands-down for increased power, smoothing of the torque band, and ease of installation/configuration. When you call him to order a kit, tell him the CyberPoet sent you (he might toss in a free TShirt) and make sure you tell him your configuration -- he'll throw in the right jets the first time out (and no others to confuse you).

                          Cheers,
