    Oil changes

    Just changed my oil today @ 1900 miles with just plain old torco 10-40 and cannot believe the performance difference ! Shifting is so much smoother, sounds alot quieter , I am stoked. I havn't changed it since its 600 mi service. What I want to know is how often do you guys and gals change your oil, and if you put synthetic in. Does it last longer between oil changes ? I really dont care if I have to change my oil sooner than the maintenance schedule says to. I want the shifting performance and the motor to perform and last longer.

            I use Castrol and I change my oil every 3000 miles

                  I run castrol GPS as my primary oil too... although I'll use Mobil 1 MX4T, Motorex, Castrol R4 or even Castrol Act/Evo 4-stroke if it's all I have access to at that instant.

                  Never heard of Torco Race Oils before. Which 4-stroke type did you use?

                    Ive got Motorex in mine right now, that stuff is great, but its not exactly cheap to get. Ive run Castrol and the Mobil 1 MX4T as well. Can't go wrong with any of them.

                    Bout every 1500 miles or so, oil and filter change. I ride pretty hard otherwise I'd stretch it to every 2000-2500 miles.

                        how much is Mobil 1 MX4T ?i use kawachem.its kawasaki motoroil.(i use it because there is a kawasaki dealer 5 min walk from my house.it cost about 20 bucks for 5 qts.

                            I used to use Castrol 10/40 but switched to Golden Spectrol MC 10/40. after 12 years.....go figure...
