  • Should I Buy This KitKat?

on ebay (I HATE ebay...) and in town my office is in, just 12 miles from my house.

I have a 1100 motor (long, sad story, but at least it does not include a crash, at least not by me), but nothing else that does not come with the bike.

should I bid? How much? What can you see that I would need to buy? I know I would need wheels/tires, what else?

    thanks!

calipers probably. the side covers (don't think they are as easy to find as he makes them out to be).
the seat looks kinda crappy....stained really. that will need to be recovered unless you don't care how it looks.
don't feel bad though....I have to do mine as well.

You will also need some frame work done. Waltari told me that all new mounts have to be welded to the frame.
Bracing the frame is not a bad idea either. I would say recommended, even. I took mine out with the stock motor, and purposely tried to feel if it flexes because of claims that it does.....and my conclusion is that I would not want to add much more power to that frame without bracing it. you can twist the front and rear wheel out of alignment quite easily with say an engine like a busa....which the seller mentioned. The front end will come up like no one's business, but it could be a snaky ride once it touches back down.

So...should you bid? Well.....I don't know what to tell you because I don't know how you're set up.
If you have access to a welder (machine or a good welder you know of), and are fully aware that it is a pretty decent undertaking.....and have all the right tools and a space you can tie up for 6 months or so....then go for it. It could be made into an awesome street fighter. Waltari will be helpful to you for any framr work....as far as advice and such. He is a great welder, so maybe for a fee he could even get it done for you. I say go for it if you can do it.

If not.....let me buy it for spare parts
I don't have a short temper. I just have a quick reaction to bullshit.
