Get off work today. Glanced out the window of my car and noticed a couple black objects on my porch. Then it hits me, no more crap a dams. The metzeler Z6's have arrived. This is going to be a great summer now.

congrats on the new tires, i have their evil twins, the pirelli diablo stratas.
no railing corners for at least 100miles... and as slapshot said you gotta increase lean angles gradually to wear off the chicken strips.
you'll be glad you made the switch... especially when the first time you get caught in a hard rain.I'm completely in favor of the separation of Church and State. My idea is that these two institutions screw us up enough on their own, so both of them together is certain death. - George Carlin

Also make sure they pump them up to 36 front, 38.5 rear or so before you set off -- they definitely shouldn't be run at the 33/36 settings the OEM tires are supposed to be run.

The general idea goes like this:
Given nothing on the bike, the tires deform a certain amount at the bottom where they contact the ground (deflection of the rubber due to weight) at the Suzuki OEM tire pressures (33/36). This amount of deflection is ideal, and you want maintain that same exact amount of deflection with your weight added to the bike, which means the pressure needs to be raised to compensate. Generally, the deflection amount increases about 1mm per 20 lbs of load weight; raising the tire pressure restores the lower deflection amount with your weight/load on the bike.
You'll note also that the change in pressure has to represent your own weight (& your gear & passenger, etc) so it's not a static number, but for a basis they recommend the pressures I listed above as your starting point. Running them at 33/36 will result in unacceptible handling and premature tire scalloping on a set of Metzeler Z6's or Pirelli Diablo Stradas (basically the same tire).
