  • Arrrghh! I Hate Roadsnakes!

    Hi All,

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm really starting to hate roadsnakes. I mean really, really despise them. I was on my way back home today, trying to pass a van. I give the bike a little throttle and then...whoooops!...the bike starts to shimmy and shake harder than a rap video harlot. I somehow manage to not lose control of the bike to this tankslapper and crash. Scared the living daylights out of me.

    Damn roadsnakes!

No you do not, I think your just looking for attention...

Kat-a-tonic - lots of them out my way but you get the added bonus of the smell of the farm to go with the road snake

The closest I've come to losing it was a couple of weeks ago on a long, downhill, sweeping curve to the left, and they had put that crap all the way down the center of the lane and it was hot. The backend starting sliding out and I luckily was able to get off of them and straighten it back out. What a dumb-ass idea they are.

They're a pain, especially when you come upon a section of road covered in them mid-corner.

Those things are all over the roads in PA, they're just about unavoidable no matter where you go in my area. We dont have the worst roads in the country for nothing

between those, potholes, and road apples from the amish horse and buggy's its like riding an obstacle course !

I dont care much for homeowners who blow their grass out onto the road in a curve either. rounded a blind turn today laid over and !!!!!! a thick coating of fresh cut grass on the road. PUCKER.

It is that black soft shiny tar that is used to fill the cracks in the road.

At least you guys have actual asphalt. . . Try riding around on mostly concrete all the time - not nearly as grippy as asphalt.

And here I thought there was an infestation of slithering reptiles in Ohio. This post makes so much more sense now
