      No, Spedee has the racerback (at least on his bike). The Sleek is a different style.

          I want to try one with my new tail. Already contacted Jim and he doesn't make them anymore. So I need to find someone who has one now.

            Spedee was able to find a sleek cowl through another KR member so he's all set

            a reminder FYI for all, Jim no longer makes the sleek solo cowls so if you are in the market for one (sleek), ebay would be the best place to look if no other members on KR have one they are willing to part with.

              Is this what you're trying to do Spedee?




              I never could get the lip of the cowl to sit flush with the tail. Granted, I'm not a pro when it comes to seat modding. I still think it would be a great look if done properly.

                Correct. Maybe the design of your seat with the new tail was a little different. The sleek was first designed I think for the 98 so with any luck my tail with the sleek cowl should look long and thin.

                  I think the tail portion of the 03+ goes flat faster. It doesn't point up, like the 98-02 does. That would explain the lip.

                    You have to shave the seat to get it to look right. Even after shaving A LOT of foam out of the seat it still didn't fit right for me.

                    I'm eager to see Spedee's result.
