do you pull up next to a fellow rider that you don't know at lights or stay a bike lenth behind? I pull up next to them if it looks like they moved over to give me room. on the way to work this morning I pulled up next to a guy on a buell. as we were exchanging pleasantries, this arsehole on his wifes ninja pulled up on the other side of me and tried to hit my kill switch just wondering what you guys and gals do.

I have yet to experience this type of situation, but I'm guessing I would pull up if a space is left for me."Knowledge comes from finding the answers, yes, but understanding what the answers mean is what brings wisdom. Men who didn’t understand the difference have been the ruin of some of the world’s greatest civilizations." - Lionel Luthor

Depends on a lot of factors, such as lane positioning (and if he's already noticed me in his mirrors in traffic), and what I'm guessing his/her status is... I try not to get next to squids because it usually just enrages their testosterone levels and makes them act stupider, but no problems exchanging pleasantries with anyone else.
As for the kill-switch thing: unless you knew that person, that was seriously f'd up -- but then again I'm guess you knew him, since you knew that he was riding his "wife's" bike...

Hey I was trying to be sneaky sneaky. My back pack would not let me get to the switch fast enough. Since my bike is still down I have been riding my wifes little 250 Ninja.
As for other riders I do not know I will move over so that we can ride staggered. I will leave room for them to come up beside me at stop lights. Who knows it could be somone you know or just shoot the breeze with while stopped.
