  • Katana windshield upgrade

I'm looking for a place to buy a newer updated windshield for my 1989 Katana. I want to replace the older style square model this is on it now.
My bike just turned 4500 miles and counting.

Memphis shades is a good choice. HS2020 has one on his pre98 that he has been pretty happy with as far as I know.

Memphis Shades the aftermarket leader for motorcycle windshields and motorcycles fairings for cruisers. Made in the U.S.A!

I have a Memphis Shades windscreen for my 98+ Kat and seem to have a slightly more aggressive style to them. I would purchase another windscreen from them again if I had to.

Not many choises for a pre-98 . And SR (stock replacement ) is about all you can find anymore . I think it was LP that had a Euro screen that was several inches taller , but they don't make 'em anymore .

              great place for help

Hey guy's thanks for your help, both sportech and memphis sell screens for my bike.
Another problem solved, I know it's going to start to get harder for this older bike, but as you can see, there are still parts available.
              thanks

When I decided to change out my smoke speedscreen shield, this is probably the one I'll go with next too.

I have a Lockhart Phillips Speedscreen "Dark-Smoke" OEM replacment for a 600 on my 750...looks amazing and is much shorter than OEM.

Gives it an agressive look, and is really the only option for a pre to get a different than stock height.

If you have a 600 this won't help,

                    Perhaps one of http://www.1tail.com/sa/cart/app_products.htm?pg={63394CCF-E407-49B3-BDCF-3587D4BDA0E5}&m={04346613-B86A-46A0-A07E-0D2EE38862EA}&pc=1&c=9

Edit: That link won't work right. Just go to http://www.1tail.com that place was posted up in another thread about windscreens. I was looking at the tall one myself.

I wouldn't by anything from this mephis shades you guys are talking about.

Their website looks like something some walmart photo cleark on his 15 minute coffee break.

Zerogravity has some good choices for tints as well as different lengths according to what you are going for. Stock replacements, shorter sporty ones, and longer sport touring ones.

Lockhart Phillips are decent and the Speedscreen is supposed to give a 3km/h higher top speed or something like that. Its cheaper than Zero gravity too...

I see this is an old thread but maybe this information might help someone down the line.

They do not list a Double Bubble for either a Pre or a Post Katana.
