    FIRST RIDE TODAY

    Well I bought the Kat two days ago, changed the oil, ran some carb cleaner through the carbs, new fuel lines, some techron and premium as it has was sitting for two years before this.

    Seems to run better everytime I take it out, a little bit of hesitation in lower RPMs but I think maybe I'm just in too high of a gear (I'm a noob). Rode today for about 2 hrs and it was great. i'm addicted, this is going to be a long summer.

    Congrats on the good ride. Sounds like you're taking good steps to her back into riding shape after sitting for that long.

    Dont be afraid to take those RPM's up when you shift and let the bike give you more power. If you're not comfortable with it, though, just take your time, it will come.

      Bikes run better when they actually get to RUN once in a while . Mine seems cranky when it sits for a couple weeks or more , but always runs better if I take it out often .
      I am a fluffy lil cuddly lovable bunny , dammit !

        Solid! Glad to hear another enthusiast! May every ride be as exciting as your first. My first ride on a cool summer night was instantly worth the $6k I paid for my bike. Every ride after that was bonus! Grats again!
