    exhaust 2006 gsxr on a katana

    has anyone seing the new exhaust on the 2006 gsxr
    I would love to put one on my 99 katana
    I have a yoshimura exhaust which is too loud for my taste I wanted to know is there was a way i can put this exhaust on my bike

    i think it would be way to much work!a lot of modifiying and cutting.but i bet it would look cool

      The GSX-R is watercooled. The header is too narrow. I accidentally bought one and found out the hard way. You would have to have the header bascially cut apart and rewelded, then there is the issue that the temps are different between the water and oil cooled bikes. I determined that the safest route was to just buy a kat exhaust.

      Also: I think the GSX-R can bolts to the header differently than the kat/bandit setup connects.

        I've actually seen some oil cooled gsxrs running newer watercooled TI exhaust with no other modifications than bending the exhaust tubes by hand in a vice. They even use the same exhaust gaskets...definitely work to get it to align, but possible.

              Thats actually not my GSXR (tho it's a very similar in it's incantation)...they do look pretty nice
