• 2001 TL1000 for 6000.00; 6000 miles

There is a local car dealer here that has a 2001 TL1000...i only drove by it and just called to inquiry about it...

has 6000 miles on it, not been wrecked(or so they claim) and dealer is wanting 6000.00 grand for it...

was thinking of taking a look at it...

my kat was new when i bought it...

    any good suggestions...

I will do the obvious and look for leaks, cracks etc and start it up and see if all is okay...

    are these good bikes?

A lot of owners love them. Why don't you get the dealer to let you test ride it and decide for yourself? Most dealers will let you test ride used bikes as long as your are serious about it...

Have you been inside the TL? It's a very nice car, but when inside it's pretty much the same as a Honda Accord. The Accord is a very reliable car so you might wanna test drive one also if you're in the market for a new (used) car. Buy the Accord and save some $$$. Buy the TL and impress your friends

I seem to always be posting about saving $$$. I must be as cheap as everyone says I am

D'OH!!!!! Very sorry, when I read the post quickly I thought you were talking about an Acura TL. Please disregard my earlier comment as I should have read your post more carefully.

Thanks for the subtle comment shefkat. Maybe you can also tell me how to correctly use the quote function?

I wish someone would tell me. I feel like the poser my avatar states when I try to use that da#n quote function. Well, I guess its better to laugh at yourself before someone else does first... or after... Hey its all in good fun, right? :bigfinger Just kidding...

                  close the quote block using
And open it using the
block

                  Cheers,

jcoria, where are you at? Is it a TLR or a TLS? For an "R" that price is in the ballpark if it is in perfect condition. KBB lists retail as about $5700, NADA says it is more like $5155 for an average bike, $3920 for low retail, so that might be a few hundred high. A TLS appears to be about a grand less than an R.

Nice bikes, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if I found a good deal.
