  • OFFICIAL: NO MORE CLOSE-OUT OHLINS/ALL GONE

I just found out that iwannadie got the last shock in the system aside from the one I put aside for myself. Appearently the Ohlin testing lab grabbed two that had been slated for me (that were still in the warehouse) and that closed out the rest of the availability.

I will be happy to order anyone else who wants Ohlins their replacements, but they will only slightly discounted off standard retail, because I will be paying full dealer price on them. They will also not be the SU802 shocks that I had been blowing out.

For those who were lucky enough to get them, enjoy them -- they are great shocks.

    Cheers,

Congrats on moving the inventory you had, and even more so for making the effort to snatch them up when you could and pass on the savings to others .

Gotta find out what models they will have available that will fit our bikes, if any. I expect $795 will be the approximate price-point with a 4-week wait as they are shipped in from Sweden (built-to-order). My factory rep told me today that I was the only dealer in North America who ordered any shocks for the Katana in the past 20 months, which is why they closed those units out.

        Cheers,

that was a good buy. i'd thank speede for setting me on the path to finding one & for cyber to pick up the ball to help the masses ! good job CP !

it's too bad that most of the katana riders won't experience what the bike can really do with a nice shock and a set of good fork springs - even though, as i think about it, it may lead them down the path of wanting more .

i bought one of the first batch and then ended up reselling it at cost due to money problems (aka g/f problems). i figure my shock is still in pretty good shape and i only weigh 140 so my stock shock should be fine for another year or two.

                    Wow...$795?!!!

I'm so happy that I nabbed the 46ERS when you first offered it...I think it'll nicely match those Ohlins springs and Racetech valves...

Mine has been mounted, and looks SOOOO hot!
