  • Ordering a solo seat cowl

I had ordered a solo seat cowl from braada.com on march 3rd 2006 and so far it has not arrived. I read the FAQ and it says anywhere from a few days to ? I have emailed the company twice once last week and once yesturday and have no got a response as to anything and would like to know the ETA for the product to come. Has anyone ordered from braada.com before and if so how long did it take? The money was taken out of my account like 2 weeks ago I live in NY and I know it does take a few days to ship but they could at least answer the email. Should I dispute this with PayPal or just wait?
Also has anyone added RK sprockets and chain to the katana and if so does it increase spped at the light? So far I plan to put in a KN filter, slip on and possibly rejet. I have a 2002 750. Oh yeah i cut off the fender and added small flush mounts in the back. Thanks.

There was a post a couple of days ago where Jim explained he was backlogged and would get to the orders as they were ordered...he has been really busy with life stuff including the orders...be certain that he is not ignoring your emails...he has had problems with the yahoo mail and some of the emails have just not gotten to him...PM him if you want an ETA it is your best bet right now...be assured that he is working on your order and will get them done as soon as possible...you can rest asure that the quality of the product is worth the wait....ask anyone that has one....also in the last post by Jim he stated any one that did not want to wait and wanted a refund he would refund you your monies...I hope this answers your question...

Yes jmanor braadajim will certainly get to your order..as Jax mentioned he is quite swamped right now and beginning to catch up to the demand but its taking awhile.

If you do use a yahoo email account you might consider contacting him via PM instead or use a different email account. Jim spends most of his waking hours working on the cowls so if you do PM him, just alot him some time to get back to you. He's good for it, dont worry.

Thank You guys I was just getting a lil worried because of the time. I understand the whole catching up on some things. It's cool. From what i have read they are really nice and it gives the katana a changed look seeing as ther eis not much we can get. It's no big deal we are just hitting 50 degrees here in Ny and I am still fixing up the bike(I bought it used with banged up fairings, headlight etc..) I shoudl have it done by monday or tuesday . I am not going to bother jim with the PM thingy if you guys says he is working on it , I am ok with that.

A quality, handcrafted product takes time to produce. Be patient folks. You will soon be very happy.

jim is indeed a busy man. just give it some more time. and like a couple of people said, he has problems with yahoo mail.

as for your sprocket question, i believe rk is the oem manufacturer for katana sprockets. to get increased acceleration (at the cost of top end spped), you'll need a different tooth count. stock is 15/47. going to a 14/47 or a 15/50 is roughly the same.

I waited about two months for mine....about three years ago....but I kept pi$$ing him off...bugging him....sending him pictures of m a$$.....phoning him at home late at night....getting people to dump garbage on his front lawn...phoning fake bomb threats at his childrens school....informing the IRS about his money laundering....

....but I did eventually get it....

I don't think I will have to do all that for my solo seat cowl lol... If the guy is busy and has some problems I do understand. Since I have pretty much built my katana from scratch(previous owner caused alot of damage by supposely falling asleep) I can now in a few days enjoy some riding. My other bike was a 2001 yamaha YZF600 which i did like before I crashed at 150mph. After a month or so healing and paying off 18 tickets(I didn't have a moto lic. just a permit along with eluding police) I am back on a bike. It was a mistake that it happened and learned from it.
I am sure I will get my seat cowl in time and like the others said he is being cool about refunds but I would rather have the cowl and he is working on them so it's cool. Is R/K sprocket kits the best and what is the top speed of a 2002 kat 750 no mods?

I order mine on the 16 of feb and still not here, but I pm Jim and he answer all my questions. as you all said he is really busy, but he seems to be a very responsible and professional guy so I have no worries.
just seat back and relax you'll get it soon.

Just remember all, Jim is a one-man manufacturing operation. He does these all himself, by hand, every single one. Combine that with trying to find time to spend with his family, unloading all the parts he's got, check in with KR, somewhere find time to ride, and everything else, and you can imagine he's as busy as a 5.00 hooker on a saturday night.

Be patient. My order took awhile but it was well worth the wait.
