well guys i traded in my 01 600 for a 05 GSX-R 1000.........atleast i stayed in the suzuki family right?!?!?!?!? man this thing has alot of balls even in 6th gear it pulls hard..........the first i gunned it i almost flew off the bike because i hit 100 like nothing and the whole time the front wheel is coming off the ground all the way through 4 gear.................all i can say is AWESOME!!! hahahaha

you'll have more trouble keeping the front wheel on the ground rather than getting it off with the kat! i do love the look of the gixxer. congrats!

well my wrist's and my back kinda got sore but ill get used to it......also i feel more exposed with the windscreen being angled more it feels like im sitting on the gas tank of the kat.........just alot of getting used to........the power is unbelievable..........also i have to get used to redlining higher than normal..........................but i hafta say that this bike is the shit!!!!Comment

i wouldnt consider my self a squid just for riding a gixxer.........but anyways i traded it in to the dealer and got 4k for my kat with 20,000 miles on her.They took off 2 grand off the sticker because my dad helped the owners son out with something....so that dropped the price to uhhhh..........5 grand total....with payments of 180.....i love connections!!

wow..they gave you $4k for a 01 ...hmm maybe i'll get more for my 04' with new paint,exhaust,520 chain and quicker sprockets. i was hoping to trade in for a 01 CBR 929, but it sold before i could get time to go down and do it.

I have a feeling that a Gixxer 1000 will be my 2nd bike in a few years, although I'm not going to be trading the Kat for it, they are sweet bikes for sure. At least my Kat is a 750 so while its still a big jump it's not nearly as big going from a 600 Kat to a gixxer 1000 as it would be for me.Originally posted by AbeezieSoNeezie
