  • Laid her over

Was going around a small curve at the outside of my work parking lot and a lady starts pulling out (im doing like 20). So I hit the front break and that's all I remember. I guess it slid out from under me or something. I hit my head pretty good (thank you helmet) And my shoulder. Other then that I'm alright...hand is kinda cut up on the knuckles. Guess I hit it on the pavement. Anyways I'm selling the bike... I don't feel safe on it and its driving my wife nuts. She worries about me everytime I leave on it. So I've had it like 2-3 weeks and I've been ran onto the shoulder once. Cut off to where I've had to almost lock up the breaks 3 times including this one. And ran into the grass once. Anyways....it's in the forsale section here and on another board. Looking to get a little more then I paid for it since it was a special deal from one of my buddies. Oh well.... I'll get pictures of my helmet and hand in a few minutes.

That's rough. Glad you're ok, though. And this is why I advocate helmets even within parking lots.

As for your bike, I'd take it if I had the cash and means to pick it up. Oh, that and my fiance would probably kill me.

Got a couple little scratches on my arm and hip. Nothing worth taking a picture of heh. Mainly I'm just sore where my shoulder hit and hip hit.

Drives my wife nuts. I am not a selfish person...so if I don't feel safe on it and it drives my wife nuts. I personally would keep it but I would rather my wife be happy.

Sorry to hear about the incident. Did you get checked out by a doctor? It is probably a good idea.

I don't want to give it up....I'm going to talk with the wife see if she'll let me get something else. I don't have the time to fix this one up (new fairings and shit) Prolly needs carbs cleaned etc. Oh well

I've had enough concussions (sp?) to know I don't have one....haha. Used to get them riding bike's and skating. Prolly had 3 or 4.... Only thing I might go for is my hand. Might be fractured on the knife edge of it. Not sure but it hurts like hell when i bump it on something or close my hand. Prolly just bruised, if it doesn't go away ill go to the dr though.

Sorry to here dude glad your ok,but selling your bike after a low speed crash like that? Im not triing to be a wiseass or anything you might be shook up now but in a few months you might regret selling the bike. Try parking it under a cover dont look at and see how you feel in time.

I'd keep it a while longer and get the confidence of riding a motorcycle before getting another bike. Spills, risks and near-misses are part of the motorcycle world. However, if that is not for you then selling is your best option.
