  • Interesting way to tow a bike

Don't know if I'd trust that for anything other than arcross town. Gotta givem props for creativity though.

    Those are pretty old..
    The concept anyway..
I'd be a bit concerned about the stress on the front end.. (of course with a harley who would notice?)

Can anyone say flat spot on rear tyre???

That and I guess that can't be really good for the steering stem bearings

Why would there be a flat spot on the rear tire? You put the bike in nuetral the rear time rolls along. Wouldn't be anymore than if you rode the bike.

Tat being said, I wouldn't use it. I'll get a trailer for that price.

You get a flat spot, becasue the rear tire would be riding on the same strip of rubber the whole time (not rolling side to side). Same as riding long highway trips without really leaning one side to the other.

I don't think it would be as bad though, because there would be alot less weight on it.

I wouldn't be confident with that setup. At least the rear tire would suffer considerable wear. Although there isn't a rider, the fact is there is still substantial weight on the rear tire.

Not to mentions the chain and drivetrain. Could you imagine busting a chain with that. It might lock the rear tire up, and I'm willing to bet it would start "skipping" the rear off the ground, and might even buck the bike out of the cradle.

or you could hit a bump and the sucker pops into gear. i would think that dragging it along in gear would so some harm.....like sucking gas into the cyclinders and filling up your crankcase for one. maybe even some tranny damage.
