Is there a good way to keep the front wheel off the ground during storage without a set of stands? I have it on the centerstand but need to get the front one up.

Leaving the tire on concrete will give your tire a dry spot.
I think as long as the air pressure is right you won't need to worry about "flat spotting".
That's what your asking ....I think?> Vince <

a block of wood will work just as long as it isn't sitting on the concrete floor!!!TDA Racing/Motorsports

Here is a idea, get a 2" X 12" about 8' long and put the whole bike on it.TDA Racing/Motorsports

There's not a lot of weight on the front end when the bike is on the center stand, so whatever you have handy; a stack of standard sized bricks, empty metal juice or coffee cans, with small blocks of wood at the top, or cloth, so the painted tube bottoms aren't scraping against brick or metal.
I don't plan to lock the front fork during storage, so the front wheel will be pointed straight ahead. I don't think there will be a balance problem. The weight of the front end will be directed straight down.
I would have liked to put a wood block under a frame tube near the front (the lower fairing is off anyway), but there doen's seem to be one. I certainly won't rest the bike on the exhaust pipes.
Getting both wheels to spin freely in the air during storage appeals to me. I spin the wheels ever so often on my other two bikes during storage, with the idea that the bearings or bushings won't loose their roundness. Needless overkill, I suspect.
Tie downs to the ceiling, as Dee Dub suggested, sounds interesting. But you'd have to have a secure connection at the ceiling (maybe to a joist, rafter, or whatever they are called). What would a person tie those straps to on the bike? Front forks, somehow? I wouldn't want the handlebars to support the front during a long storage. Not at the grips, anyway. Overkill again, on my part.

I'd strap then under the top tree...
