  • Most amazing thing you've seen done on a bike...

Maybe it was a 12oclock wheelie..or wicked long stoppie. Maybe its great balancing act or control stunt ?

Personally, mine was seeing this guy, quite a number of years ago at a bike show..actually balance his harley, a dresser, while sitting still, engine off..and he sat there and ate a plate of food for about 15 minutes and drank a soda as well. Completely balanced, no sidestand or anything.

    Was really unreal..

I was on the back of Trinity's Ducati 996 while being chased (and shot at) by agents on the freeway...going the wrong way too I might add. I escaped when Morpheus grabbed my hand while he was stradleing to transport trucks. I was a little scared.

Ummm, me walking away from the first accident I had on a bike. That is amazing to me, I should have but the man upstairs decided it wasn't my time.

Sorry to get the post on a downward spiral, but I was pretty amazed at the stupidity.....lucky thing for frame sliders....

i havent actually seen this only herd about it, but i think it would be pretty cool to see.

someone told me at the HD prooving grounds they do a thing where the rider has a full dress hd. going in a straight line at full speed (50mph or what ever) then take the handle and slap the tank and let go totally. the bike is supposed to go into a momentary tank slapper but then straighten itself back up with out crashing. cant imagine seeing someone slap the bar to the tank at full speed. then just sit back and let the bike recover.

tankslappers are a harmonic phenomenon based on static resonence over an attributed axis.

HD can't go fast enough and lead doesn't resonate

A cop on a toy run directing traffic for the motorcycles while standing on his bikes footpegs. Totally amazed me. One heck of a balancing act.

most amazing thing in my opinion was my own tank slapper. it was enough to break 3 out of the 4 contact points on the fork/fender brace.

next to that has to be the christian pfieffer video.

I was once following a red Triumph in North Carolina into this turn, and this foreigner just drives straight off the road towards this sheer rock face. He goes plowing through the mud, fishtailing, with his legs flopping around like some rag doll. Then his bike goes down and he is still hanging onto it! When we picked the bike up the grips and the clipons had these finger deep groves in them. The guy actually crushed the rubber and metal into a mangled, handshaped contour. And then this Canadian goes on to walk around for days with a cast and picking up on all sorts of underage girls. It was incredible.

Sliding under the back end of a semi trailer that pulled out in front of me on a dark & drizzly night in '84, and coming out again alive and healthy (although very badly shaken and I was sure I was going to die). That was the most impressive from the first-person point of view...

Third person: watching someone shoe-skate next to their bike at 140 mph -- for miles on end.

                              Cheers
