  • Squeezing in every last mile...

The leaves are turning, its football season, holidays are coming up, yeah Fall is a great time of year !!!!! , but I do hate it for 1 reason and that is that it signifies that the end of the riding season for the year for many of us is in sight. I for one am not taking this lightly !! Im squeezing in every single ride I can..down to the grocery store, mini mart, walmart, and any other mart if I have too. Longer detours on the way home from work; and getting up early on saturday and sunday rides at the azz crack of dawn just to spend as much as I can on 2 wheels. I do all these things normally, but now the urgency has heightened. When its nice and warm out, we tend to block out that ugly thought of not riding for a few months over winter cuz its so far away..but now, ugh, its alittle closer. I'll still ride into December atleast providing the snow stays away...but still, the thought of winter sux !!!

The way PA weather is, we can end up w/ snow in late november so you never know...

    Anybody else?

and all you year around fair weather people, we dont wanna hear it

i ride all year. In the summer is 95-105 and dead of winter its 36-50. I ride no matter what. My love is greater and im WILLING to endure MOST OF WHAT NATURE CAN THROW AT ME....except rain.

Actually I love the changes of the seasons (yes, we know you Calis don't have seasons)

As weird as it may sound to you guys, but I love cranking the wrench with winter mods.

And Freak I love football season.

Go USC! (jebus that was a ridiculous game!)

Yeah Wildcat, I feel your pain. I am going to ride until the snow falls and then I'll put her away for the winter and start the list of mods I want to do. Not riding for 4 to 6 months just makes it that much sweeter when we can finally take her out for the summer season again, ahhhh........ can't wait.

Working on the bike is definately a great way to pass the time..the main reason I dont do many mods in the riding season, I dont want any down time for anything when the weather is nice; I wanna save all that for when there is a foot of snow on the ground so I can start doing and checking off the latest items on my winter mod list... Football helps ALOT too, Go STEELERS !!!!

But I still wanna ride, just once I wanna ride in late january and early february and not turn into a popsicle !!!

I feel for you guys... seriously, I do. Your bikes rust faster, get ridden less, etc., etc. Anybody who wants a mid-winter vacation, drop me a line and I'll get you bedded down while you ride the warmth

            Cheers,

I am going to hold you to that cuz there is a good chance you will see me in florida this winter, now that I can return there cuz of that wonderful thing called the statute of limitations.
after all...it was just a joint

If you have a statute issue, do yourself a favor and call a local sheriff's office here to make sure there isn't still a warrant outstanding (the joint probably fell away; failure to appear in court may not have)... I have no clue how long ago that way, but if you send me a PM, I'll get you some contact info for who to call to find out.

Yep! Fall is my favorite season. I LOVE it. But... *sighs* I hate the thought of putting the bike in hybernation for the winter. Sucks! Hoping for a few Indian Summers.

This year's almanac said we are to have a very mild winter. And in another kind of almanac book thing, it said we are to have a very cold and snowy winter season.

Who knows! Winters in PA are screwed up as it is. And with our state, you never know.

My baby is getting put to bed this weekend I know, I know. but to keep it on the road for another month it'll cost me another $500. Insurannce issues

Got a ride in last night, ran into some freezing rain a little which was pretty fun on my practically bald rear tire . So unless i get a ride in this week, on on the weekend, that was probably my last of the season.

Still undecided whether or not i'm gonna keep it, or sell it and get the new D675. I'm gonna have to sort some money issue out and see where i stand in the spring. If I do keep it, a track only bike is definatly in my future

::blocks out the idea of winter coming::

It's the middle of October and I can still ride to work everyday! I'm not going to complain TOO MUCH about winter because we had a really awesome summer here.
