  • Ran Over Curb and Accidental Downshift

Today I ran over 2 curbs at 15mph by accident launching the bike, i couldnt find any damage from it, rims seem to be fine and forks arent leaking, I also accidentally shifted from 3rd to 2nd instead of 4th, bike instantly went from around 5000 to 9500 rpm, scared the shit out of me. Can any of these two mistakes damage my bike? It seems to be running fine, but I am still worried.

    Thanks in advance.

Does it ride straight, no wobble......if yes, no..... you should be fine. All I can say is ....pay attention......

As long as the rpm doesn't go over the redline, you are fine. That's not an uncommon downshift for me when I want to move on quickly.

you should be alright, downshifting to gain speed would be normal for me

what happened? How does one accidentally hit a curb? Did you want to turn and then not?
