  • trying to find a 50t sprocket for an 04 600

I'm usually great at finding anything and everything online. But I seem to have bad luck finding the parts I want.
Does anyone know of any websites that sell 50t 530 sprockets that will fit an 04 katana?

I wouldn't mind getting a 50 tooth rear sprock for my 04 600. I imagine the acceleration increase would probably be impressive. How many mph would I lose off the top end and how much difference will I feel in take off power if I switch from the stock rear to a 50 toother? I'm not changing the front sprocket just the rear only if I do go ahead with it

Motorcycle speed and sprocket calculator with bike database for gearing, sprockets, tires and chains of over 1900 bikes. Request yours to be added as well.

I'm thinking of changing to a 50T rear sprocket as well. The bike is an '06 GSX600F.

The stock 15/47 setup uses a 118 link chain as far as I can remember. If I'm adding 3 teeth to the rear sprocket, do I need to get a 120 link chain? Or will I need something even longer like 122 links?

If you do any sort of highway driving id advise against a 50tooth.
I took one off my bike in favor for stock ratio and i couldnt be happier.

Thanks. I hardly ever do any highway riding, as I live in the city, and mostly ride the twisties when I do get out. I'm planning to keep a 47 (and possibly a 44) tooth sprocket on hand, for those occasions when I will be doing highway riding.

I finally spent the time to understand the gearingcommander page, and it indicates I can use the 118 link chain, but expect a 1/2" change in wheelbase with the larger sprocket.
