    new to site . do not have katana , have golf cart with 93 katana 600 motor . having running issues,am gm mechanic not mc mech.figured id ask the pros, ill get straight to the point compression 145 warm,carbs rebuilt 125 mains vance and hines pipe stock pilot jets rubber plugs in ,fuel screw 3.5 turns out new plugs, valves adjusted,starts and idles perfectely revs up smooth and responsive when under load ok for a min than starts to bog and dies,pull plugs black and dry ,than hard start , clean plugs ,back to running good till \under load. tried 110 mains just to try ,can tell running leaner,but plugs black again,what do you think,havent inspected signal generator yet any ideas would be appreciated

    Fuel screws should be 2.5 turns out as a baseline. I don't know the differences in jet sizes off the top of my head based on manufacturer but 125 sounds a bit big. Are u trying to compensate for the lack of (i assume) an airbox or something. Sounds like its running too rich

      You did not mention what you have for the air intake system, It is recommended that you run the OEM air box and filter for best results.

          A stock air filter would work better, those K&Ns dont seem to work on these engines. check your petcock flow.

            Ditch the K&N piece of shit. Run the stock filter 115 mains, a/f screws at 2.5 turns out. Should get you pretty close unless the floats aren't sealing.
