  • New to the bike world and this forum!

Hey guys, names sam, from south jersey, just recently traded my lifted xj for a 95 600 with 14,xxx miles, it's not a bad bike ! Can't wait to get it on the road, has Vance & Hines exhaust and a header, if you guys have any tips or what to go over to be sure of road ready my ears are open!

Welcome to katriders.. First I would get a manual it will cover what needs to be checked under the maintenance section. Chain/sprockets, tires, fork seals, oil, plugs, filters (OEM type only), bearings. I would highly suggest you inspect the tank for rust, that old and low miles means long storage = rusty tank. If it is rusty, save yourself a lot of grief and seal the tank as Kat carbs won't deal with any rust particles.

On the right bike, sure. But the Kat frame isn't pretty enough...

              Welcome!
I'm not a fan if most fighter'ed Kats either, but we have a whole subsection devoted to them. Lots of good info/reading
