Jetted, slip on vance&hines, K&N filter, rest is stock. (want a matching header in the future)

REALLY didnt need a bike...seriously...but for 300 bucks...Cmon....cant beat that. lol Clean title too so all good to go!

Got some more reading to do and some questions to ask so i suppose ill see yinz all out there at some time! Thanks for the add folks!

Welcome to katriders.... Trash the K&N it's not doing you any good, in fact its holding your bike back.

i was NEVER a k&n filter fan, ever...EVER... i always run Uni on ALL my dirt stuff, 2 stage oil-able foam. Always been a fan of foam oil filters..

        so whats my best bet???

Stock type, the carbs don't function well with them.

Welcome Wagz, you can't pass up a bike for $300 for sure. I tried a K&N filter, then individual filter pods, now I'm back to a High Flow stock filter. Even though I pulled my carbs several times to rejet, my Kat never ran just right on those other filters. Now she runs awesome with 122.5 and 125 main jets and my full Yoshi exhaust. Good luck with your new baby. Post some pics!

Thanks for the info folks, Good to hear, imma order me the factory filter and see how it turns out. It seems to run pretty rich at an idle, tends to load up and stutter/struggle to rev up till it gets over 6k RPM when its sitting there in the driveway, but once i put a load on it (driving) it doesnt seem to stutter or stumble at all, it just launches!

i need to figure otu the "blue" paint code as well, and find some touchup. previous owner dropped it in the driveway. need to touch those spots up. lol

Another question for yinz ( i may ahve to post in main forum to find an answer) has anyone found a Manual petcock for the tanks that isnt vacuum operated that'll bolt on? (Raptor petcocks fit the other suzukis, however the Kat looks to have a larger bolt spacing.)

Paint: Y7E ok, now gotta find it..

There is nothing bad about the KAT petcock, it just makes sure the fuel is cut off when not running. You'll find that it is a good thing at some point in your ownership, most have had a stuck or dirty float that filled the crank case with fuel

I have a brand new diaphragm for the petcock if yours isn't cutting off or leaking. PM me if interested.

oh i agree its nice, but leaves room for failure...just like as stated, the thing will stick though and fill the heads if your quick, bottom if your not. lol Thats why i wanted a manual one. I actually gutted mind and put a hose closer on it. (pinches the hose) i hate vacuum petcocks, ive dealth with em a long time (all the suzukis i ever owned had em, and i switched em.haha)
