Hi everyone my name is Paul. I have been riding for years but new to katana. My most recent bike was a 04 gsxr 600 but thanks to that old lady she is gone forever. Thank god I suffered nothing permanent and due to the nature of the accident I received a pretty healthy compensation. Missing my bike daily my friend encounters me a decent deal for this ride and being a big suzuki fan I jumped. I cant say I am a virgin to katana since I have worked on a few but I have never owned or even ridden one. I really was not expecting the power even though she is a 6. Not quite my gx but cant expect a dirty carbed bike to compete yet. I by no means even want that kind of power back but I do need a bit more T response. I once had a 92 gsx 1100 G and the carbs were were hella similar thank God because I learned everything not to do on those. I only have this one pic for now and don't laugh.

Thanks I am going to give the carbs a bath and get rid of the K&N. The 1100 I had had the same set up and I just got a stock air box and filter and it was like magic. Oem wins again".
I am going to step up the needles one to crisp up the throttle and think about a carb kit when I do a full ex. I have reason to believe the pilot circuit is partially clogged. Since I am under the tank I am going to be doing a valve insp-adj does anyone have the specs. I will need carb adjustment specks. I am short a manual at the moment if anyone has a digital copy to spare until my hard copy arrives.
Thanks in advance
The bike in front is a 01 HD xl 1200 with a springer front end and a set of apes. Actually was a partial trade-$ for the Katana. ( I got the $$$ of course ) as well as the bike and actually as of today am glad to say I am a proud owner of another one with a Buell 1200 motor EFI Computer Tuned and programmable ecu converted to chain drive all in tiny little pieces ready to be built for hella cheap. And I need another drag bike since I totaled my last one.
