  • Biker from Iceland

    Hello everybody
First of all, sorry for my broken English as it is not my native language.

Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself.

My name is Atli, my nickname is the name of the place where I was born and raised.
We have plenty of bikers here in Iceland, all kinds.

Got my first bike about a month ago, just before winter time

    It's a 1990 Suzuki GSX750F, (750 Katana in the states)

    Fitted with a FatBar handlebar.
I think it has 48mm Yakima carb.
    K&N airfilters
    Vapor digital speedometer

Have started to build a streetfighter out of it.
It has seen better days but it rides good and is plenty fast for me. Still haven't given it full beans yet.

But now it has started to snow so the bike has been put away for the winter time. Going to fix some bits and bobs, new blinkers, new exhaust from a 1990 750 GXSR - Single muffler instead of two.
Clean and tune the 48 mm Yakima carb.

Any tips and advice is really appreciated.

    Cheers

Can we get a pic of that carb?
1990 GSX1100F- abandoned in 2005, rescued by me in 2011, I'm gonna ride it if it's the last thing I do.

    1979 GS850G Free shafty

1978 GS550E- The wife bought it for me for father's day (So she could learn to ride on it too)

    1977 RM80- My son's resto.... he's 3...

2012 Qigo quad- pink Camo for my little princess.

      Welcome!
I'm curious about that carb too, that would be a massive carb for this bike. + I'd just like to see how it's all hooked up, I wasn't aware you could fit anything else in there. Although if you're running pod filters I guess that takes care if some fitment issues.

FYI with the GSXR exhaust you'll probably need a jet kit, that exhaust will probably make the bike run lean and the kit will correct that.

              Thanks for the welcome.

I've not seen the carb myself, previous owner stated that it was there.
Will take pictures when I pull the gastank of the bike.

Does anybody know where to get a service manual for these bikes?

                  Thanks for that

Just started to take apart the bike.
Here are pics of the carb.
It's not Yakumi as I was told, it's Mikuni
Anybody know anything more about it?

Here is the state it is now.

Need to get a wiring diagram. Just a mess the wiring on the bike.

                  I'm gonna go with a rat/streetfighter look.

                  Now it's called RatKat.
