  • 2003 Suzuki Katana 600 Yoshimura RS3 Slip-On Pilot Jetting Settings.

    Hey Fellow Kat Riders,

I have a 2003 Suzuki Katana 600, and I bought a Yoshimura RS3 Slip-On Exhaust. I know its not technically necessary to do the carbs, but I wanted to redo the carbs to the standards of the entire exhaust kit.
So I am wondering if anyone happens to know the settings for the entire exhaust kit so I can set my carbs to those settings. Therefore, I could get the full exhaust affect. I haven't been able to find much online, but I would appreciate it if anyone could lead me to the right direction.
    Thanks

Im not much help either, but welcome.

I don't think you'd want to tune the carbs as if you have a full exhaust set up if in fact you do not have it though. You want to tune it for what you actually have, or it will run less than optimally. For a slip on, what I've seen recommended is generally a factory pro jet kit, leave the main jets alone, install the new needles, eclip in the 3rd position, and i think 2.5 turns out on the A/F screws. I'm going off memory for that, so don't take it as gospel.

Doesn't work that way. In order to tune for a full exhaust, you actually need to have a full exhaust. That being said I recommend a jet kit, factory pro stage 1. It's all you need. Or an Ivan's jet kit.
