  • Hello from New Zealand

Ride down to pick up my new Suzuki 1984 GS Katana 650G bike tomorrow.

Look forward to getting some information re the bike through this forum.

Already have a couple of questions - a lot of google sites state the GS650 Katana 650G was manufactured 1981 -1983 - but mines registered 1984, is this actually an 83 model just registered in 84??

Its the silver and red one with painted red shocks and brakes. I also note that many of the bikes with the similar paint job have black exhausts - mine has chrome (look cool). Is this a standard model??

cheers and thanks for any info anyone may be able to supply on the bike

Can't answer your questions, but sounds like a cool find. Post some pics up when you get her home! Going to ride her, or is it more of a collection piece?

Nice! Always thought it a shame when things made to go fast just sit collecting dust. Enjoy!

welcome to KR! Love the Avitar! That was my favorite show as a child and Thunderbird 2 was my favorite ship. Had the little Dinky cast metal toy as well.

Gotta say really like the look of the seat. The red and silver has always looked good.
