  • It snowed today!!!

I figured snow always makes for some cool pictures, so I rolled the kanotuna out the garage and snapped a few photos!

Hope you enjoy! ... also, I have to ride later today, so I hope the main roads are all melted! yay for riding in the snow.

Well I live in Western Washington so we hardly ever get snow, just a ton of rain. Eastern Washington is a different story though! I am glad that it was only for the day though. All the snow is gone now!

Snow around here (western Washington state), at least in the lowlands, can not happen at all or be up to a 2-3 week long stints every winter. Not too bad most of the time. Most I've ever driven through was about 13" from one day's snowfall, but that was around 25 years ago. Mostly we deal with ice when it gets cold (teens - 20's sometimes)

Just enough snow to show which drivers know car control and which don't.

Chose not to ride the same day as c-rod, but then I live in the foot hills so we got a bit more and our roads don't get cleared as quickly.

I remember living in michigan as a kid. We measured the snowfall in feet. I remember it snowing 4 foot overnight. We went to school the next morning..

                            LOL

That bit of snow you see in my picture fell on already frozen roads and was enough to close down most of the schools in the area.

Was it slick, sure, but most people with front wheel drive didn't have any problems. Those with 4WD ran like it was just another day. Hills do make it interesting though, 700 ft of drop between my house and the freeway (4 miles away) via many ups and downs. Saw a few in the ditch, a few more just parked against the curb. People in this area have NO clue how to drive when it gets slick...

Me in the big ass RWD Mercedes waited till the main road had cleared some via melt/rain before I went to work. An excuse to go play in the snow with my kids!
