    Plug Lead Order

    Hi. Can anyone here confirm which coil HT lead goes to which cylinder, please?

    I have obtained a non runner with a a list of dubious past owners, & would just like to be happy knowing the correct lead is on the correct cylinder.

    This is mine at the moment: (left / right is sitting on bike....Cylinder 1 is left side of bike)

    Left Coil (top) Cylinder 1
    Left Coil (bottom) Cylinder 3
    Right Coil (top) Cylinder 2
    Right Coil (bottom) Cylinder 4

    Left Coil Top - 1 (White)
    Left Coil Bottom - 4 (Yellow)
    Right Coil Top - 3 (Grey)
    Right Coil Bottom - 2 (Blue)

        No doubt!!!

        Pull the plugs - they'll be fouled up, give them a good scrub and regap, reinstall, and wire them in the right order - think she'll start with a bit of gentle persuasion

        HTF did they end up wired like that?

          Well, like I said, I got it as a non runner.
          I can only guess a PO tried some amateur fettling & failed at the first hurdle!

          I'm right at the start of trying to rescue this old girl, so I have to start right at the beginning and proceed bit by bit.

          Lots of great info on here, though, so I should be in good company.
