ok guys problems have struck once again..as i was syncing the carbs up i noticed a pretty bad oil leak..oil was coming from the bolt (#5 on cylinder head diagram) so i replaced it with a bolt off a spare cylinder cover i have..still didnt stop the leak...i noticed there is a small gasket in there which seems to be impossible to get out..you guys think a little gasket material would fix this problem or should i pull the cylinder cover off the motor n replace there gaskets?

on a good note the home made manometer worked great got the carbs synced up and she idles like a dream..of course after a week of lookin at her sittin in the garage torn apart i think she is mad at me..but gotta give her a lil tlc i reckon and it will be worth the carb work when shes screamin down the road again.(yea i talk to her like a baby, whats ya point??)

I would imagine just replacing the gasket would be the way to go. Most full proof method.

Yea the big problem is trying to get that gasket out..without cutting it out with a razor..seems to be melted to the cover
