I've considered truck bed liner briefly, but I don't think I would use plastidip personally.

I've seen a number of track-day bikes that had fairings sprayed with truck bed coating. It works great...indestructible, but fugly.

plastidip holds up pretty darn good but i dont think i would do the plastics of a bike. Too much rubbing from pants, boots etc. I had the wheels on my titan done for almost a year and held up fine though. I however took EXTRA care when cleaning them trying not to rub or scratch too hard.
The only thing i have plastidiped on the bike is the inside of the windshield. That is pretty much out of the way.
unless you just want it temporary, i would look into Brownels.com and check out theyre Aluma-hyde II. Pretty knarley stuff! I am thinking of doing my wheels with that and possibly my fairings.
BTW.. plastidip is some bada$$ stuff man! lol. I used it so much i even had the wife giving me things to PD.

I wouldn't... I'm going to bed liner the lower fairing because it seems to be getting chipped up from road debris but I'll use Rustoleum, not Plasti-Dip.

If you do end up Plasti-Dipping the bike, and expect it to come off later, make sure you spend a LOT of time on the surface prep. Clay bar and polish the surface, make it smooth. If you don't the PD will stick like paint and won't come off cleanly (there's a Youtube video of some idiot who did his whole car and the PD took the paint with it when he tried to remove it).

I'm probably gonna plastidip my hard bags.

As for the whole bike one commment I read on another board was how the plastidip reacts with gasoline so you may not want to do the gas tank. Any gas spillage will mess it up.

Hmmmm.. The reason I brought it up was I saw so many videos of cars that were done successfully of entire cars (looked really cool too)...

Everything I read was that it isn't permanent and comes right off when you want it to..
              (dipyourcar.com) ?

Well... I guess I don't have to worry about it yet, so far my plastics are perfect (not a scratch)... But I'm sure it will be eventually dropped or scratched somehow...

I'm actually considering plasti dipping my whole katana this weekend. I've used it on a lot of car applications and it's a lot harder to accidentally scrape it than you would think.

Don't forget there are tons of colors in the spray can available at dipyourcar.com idk if I want to go the classic black route cause that's all the local stores have or ship in some of the new colors like the blaze Blue and orange. They also have camo colors which had me thinking lol

Here's my bike as of last night, a little work has been done since then. Also Plasti dip holds up very well if done right, Otherwise professional places that do it, wouldn't be offering warrenties on it.

Lots of Plastidipped bikes in this very section. Mine, and a few others. Mine was completely Plastidipped, top to bottom. You'll also find pictures of my Kawasaki Z-Rex that I Plastidipped.

I LOVE plastidip.. almost too much.

I had a 2008 BMW 128i that I plastdipped completely, flat black... looked pretty awesome.

and with my rabbit I've dipped the wheels bronze.

I am thinking of dipping the bike, but would want something more exciting than flat black

lots of options, check out dipyourcar.com

I am either thinking pearlize my bike, or do an aluminum plasti dip. First I need a new helmet before I order more dip.
