Well I headed out of the Salt Lake City, Utah area Friday afternoon and rode up to Twin Falls, Idaho for my first lone trip (215 miles). I stayed with some friends through the weekend and rode home this afternoon. My longest trip before was 65 miles. I really enjoyed the trip (mostly freeway and not heavely traveled) and had good weather other than some cross-winds going up and it was in the upper 90's going and coming.
I was happy to stop for fuel once each way and find my tolerance for a break to be right in line with the fuel gauge LOL. I traveled lightly with just a backpack with enough clothes and shaving kit for a weekend stay.
I purchased a Go-Cruise throttle device and that really helped to rest my right hand for a few miles when it got tired.
I will mount my rear bags for my next trip and plan on heading over to Wyoming in a couple weeks.
Bike ran great and managed 53 MPG going up with slight tail wind. Got 48 coming home into a headwind.
Mike.
